Farming for 6 generations

Lower Heath Farm is an arable farm based in North Hertfordshire. The farm is run by Father and Daughter team Philip and Jo Franklin, fifth and sixth generation farmers, supported by partner Jonathan Crosse and valued employees.

We specialise in growing a variety of combinable crops including Wheat, Oilseed Rape, Barley, Oats and Pulses. We also specialise in grass work from establishment to hay, silage and haylage making, on our owned, rented and contracted farmed ground.

The main holding is set amidst rolling chalk plains however a variety of soil types are covered across the farms from clay loams to light gravellier soils.
